RIMOSA had a blast with Vartan Gregorian Elementary School students, families, staff, and volunteers at their Science Night 2/11/201! Visitors explored our Marble Roller Coaster program and built Rube Goldberg inspired marble runs out of foam insulation pipes, dominoes, blocks, found objects, cars, tape, and whatever they could get their hands on. RIMOSA also had […]
RIMOSA was complete success at WaterFire! We displayed our Zoetrope animation machine, colored spot lights and shadow sculptures for over 100 visitors. Not only did they learn about RIMOSA and our programs, but also had a lot of fun creating simple animations and playing with colored shadows.
Ever wonder what RIMOSA would look like when we finally build our site? Paste this link (http://youtu.be/xJXyMK-Qcm8) into your web browser to see a short movie of our installation at Brown University this past March. We took over a small gallery for a day. Imagine what we could do with more space and time!

They made their own animations on our Zoetrope, and they wrote their hopes and dreams […]

We’ll be doing the installation, “When Dreams Take Flight”, as part of Brown University’s 250th Anniversary Opening Celebration - which has lots of organizations and activities coming together to make a huge FREE experience […]

Do you miss playing with Sand Table? Do you have new ideas for games that can be played with Wooden Wave? Well, our latest pop-up is courtesy of a grant by RISCA (Rhode Island State Council on the Arts) and a partnership with Providence Community Library (PCL). From now until the first week of January, […]
We had an excellent weekend in early September at the Pawtucket Arts Festival. Over one hundred people came and enjoyed RIMOSA’s interactive, science/art exhibits – including the new Naked Piano. Unfortunately, we have to leave this location in the next month, so we won’t be able to have regular public hours. We continue to look for (and find) sites for pop-ups […]
