SUMMER PROGRAMS at our NEW PROVIDENCE SITE!!!

Are you looking for engaging educational summer programming for your 8 – 13 year old?  RIMOSA will be running week long morning programs at our new site at 763 Westminster St. in Providence this summer.  Please contact our Education Director Juliette Casselman at juliette@rimosa.org  for more information or to sign up your child.

Summer Programs 2017 DESCRIPTION DATES
ANIMATION 

 

Create and design several stop motion films.  Explore a variety of techniques from cut-paper, object, pixilation, and dry erase drawn animation.  View films as a mini film festival at the end of the program June 26- June 30 10am – 12pm 

 

July 31 – August 4

10am – 12pm

ADVANCED ANIMATION 

 

 

Build on previous animation experience to go further into stop motion techniques.  Explore Claymation, paper puppets, transparencies, and sand stop motion film making.  View films as a mini film festival at the end of the program August 7 – August 11 10am – 12pm
REVERSE ENGINEERING 

 

 

How and why do things work?  Take apart everyday objects and try to recreate or design your own.   Make musical instruments, moving vehicles, stomp rockets, found object inventions and more. August 14 – August 18 10am – 12pm
ARTISTS AND INVENTORS  

 

 

Was Leonardo Da Vinci an artist or a scientist?  Or both?  Explore classic and modern artist and inventors like Andy Goldsworthy, Buckminster Fuller, Alexander Calder, Samuel Morse, Rube Goldberg and more.  Create and design inventions and artwork inspired by thee innovators. August 21 – August 25 10am – 12pm

                                -$75 PER ONE WEEK 2 HOUR PROGRAM
